See as Me collects nothing about you.
That is not a policy so much as a description of how the app is built. There is no account to create, no server to send anything to, and no analytics of any kind. What follows is every place data is touched at all.
The camera
The app asks for camera access so it can filter what you are pointing at. Frames go from the camera to the screen and are gone. They are never written to disk, never sent anywhere, and the app has no network permission to send them with.
Photos
When you press the shutter, the picture is saved to your own photo library. The app holds add-only access, which means it can put a photo in and cannot read anything already there. Photos you import to look at are processed on the device and are not copied anywhere.
Your color vision profile
Your profile is two numbers: which cone type is affected, and by how much. It is stored on your device. When you share a link, those numbers travel inside the link itself, which is why the link is six characters long. They are not stored on any server, because there is no server.
This website
Static files, no database, no cookies, no trackers. When you open a profile link, the profile is decoded in your browser from the address; nothing about it reaches us. The site keeps no access logs of its own.
Health data
How you see color is arguably information about your body, so it is worth being explicit: it never leaves your phone except in a link you choose to send, to a person you choose to send it to.
